Annie lives with her husband in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. At the age of 30, she ran off to join a Renaissance Faire and spent the next 27 years trying to convince her family that it wasn’t the circus.  Annie has been writing poetry and short stories since her early 20′s. In her own words Annie explains, “My heart beats and so I write.”

Hello again world!

Many things have changed in my life, and no doubt everyone elses lives since my opening post 9 years ago. Wow! 9 years, I had some very open ended ideas of where I was going with this but now, I know where I want this to go!

First I will update my details, including some that were not mentioned in the above bio.   My name is Annie Brodrick I live with my husband Alan, who as of 2020 I have been married to for 25 years! I have two sons that Alan helped raise and we now have 3 grandchildren that we adore. We are both members of the Baha’i Faith.

In the spring of 2000, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, we jokingly referred to it as our Y2K Glitch 😉 The form of MS I have is known as Relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) everything was going along smoothly until ’08 when I had a relapse that greatly effected my balance. That translates to me needing to use a walker whenever I walk anywhere. At first it was odd when I thought about it. Once I stopped thinking about it, all was fine. Beats the alternative of never walking or ending up in a heap on the floor!

An important discovery came about 6 years ago when I visited a Blog by the name of Attic24 and it must have been winter as the amazing colors on this site were calling to me and then reading what Lucy(?) had to say was a tonic for how I’d been feeling for over a month! Crochet, I must learn how to do this! Started working its way into my mind & heart 💜 Around this time July 2013, my 1st granddaughter was born and I decided to crochet a blanket for her, not a baby blanket, a blanket for when she was in a real bed after her crib! I started reading books about crocheting, I looked at websites about crocheting, I watched videos about crocheting. Then I purchased crochet hooks and different colors of yarn. Time and again I ended up back at Attic24, She inspired me so very much. When I placed my 1st order with Wool Warehouse for the yarn I needed for the Lucy blanket I was feeling so excited, I could hardly stand myself, I was on my way!
